VidDay works without the need to have video editing skills. But you can go the extra mile and edit photos to make your video gift look excellent.
In this post, we explain the different kinds of photo editing you can do with the VidDay Photo Editor and how to do it.
Getting Started
From the media gallery of your Event Page, you'll see thumbnails of the uploaded video clips and photos.
To get started, tap the thumbnail of a photo you want to edit. By doing so, the photo becomes larger so that you can have a closer look. To open up the Photo Editor, tap the photo again.
There are four tabs in the Photo Editor:
Crop
Filter
Colors
Markup
Crop
In the Crop tab of the Photo Editor, you can crop your photo by dragging the corners and pinch two fingers together or apart to adjust zoom.
You'll notice three icons above the photo for additional editing. You can rotate a photo if it's upside down. Or, flip the photo horizontally and vertically if it's a mirrored view.
With these main editing features, you can quickly turn an okay photo into a great photo. But wait, there's more!
Filter
In the Filter tab of the Photo Editor, you can enhance your photos quickly. Tap the desired filter, and you will instantly apply a combination of color effects to your photo to achieve a charming result.
You can choose from:
Chrome
Fade
Mono
Noir
Colors
In the Color tab of the Photo Editor, you can adjust the colors easily. Whether your photo is too dark and needs to be a little brighter or feels dull and could benefit from more saturation, these color sliders can make your photo look perfect.
There Are Four Sliders to Adjust:
Brightness
Contrast
Exposure
Saturation
Markup
In the Markup tab of the Photo Editor, you can add some creativity to your photo with drawings, shapes, and text.
Select Objects
The Select tool is to select the objects on your photo and move them around.
Draw
The Draw tool allows you to draw on the photo with a paintbrush. You can choose from the color palette below the photo or mix your color using red, green, and blue (RGB) values. Tap the Style button to adjust the thickness and style of your paintbrush.
Arrow
With the Arrow tool, you can draw an arrow. Tap the Style button to adjust the thickness and style of your arrow, and tap the Decoration button to determine if it has one or two pointers.
Text
The Text tool allows you to add a message to your photo. You can choose the color of your text and decide whether it's a serif, sans-serif, or monospaced font. You can adjust the size of the text by tapping the size button. Your size options are from extra-small, all the way to extra-large.
Circle and Square
The Circle and Square shape tools allow you to draw shapes. Drawing shapes is handy if you have a busy photo and need a solid shape to place behind the text to be more legible. Tap the Style button to choose a solid fill or an outline only.
Undo Edits
If you change your mind or did something you didn't like, you can undo it by clicking the backward clock icon as many times as you need.
If you ever want to start from scratch, you can tap Cancel.
There you have it. You can now edit photos like a pro. Have fun!
