After starting a video, simply share the invite link to a submission page (which you can customize) so invitees can submit their video messages and photos. You can share the invite link using your favorite messaging platforms like WhatsApp, Messenger, SMS text messages, etc. Or, you can use the VidDay Smart Invite tool to quickly invite and track a large group by email. You can invite as many people as you'd like — the more, the better.
Yes, you can upload your own songs as background music. Or, you can choose songs from our music library to perfectly complement your video.
Yes, you can download your video and keep it forever as a keepsake. Look for the download button under your finished video.
A video can be no longer than 170 minutes (2.8 hours), but most videos are under 10 minutes. Note: If you have a special request that exceeds 170 minutes, please reach out to our Customer Care team.
Yes, only you (the creator) can see the finished video when logged in to your VidDay account until you change the privacy setting to make your video viewable to others. When your video is viewable, people can see and share the video. You can also share the video privately with the recipient only so they can watch their video, record a thank you message, and claim their gift card if available. Note: The cover photo you upload and the invite message are viewable to others in the invitations you send.

Currently, VidDay supports global reforestation efforts by donating a portion of net proceeds to planting trees — with over 100,000 trees already planted worldwide. In 2020, VidDay donated a portion of every video to School for Kids in Laos (S.K.L.) to help children in rural Laos who need a good learning environment. VidDay's donation built new classrooms and gave access to clean water, electrical, sanitation facilities, and school furniture, including desks, textbooks, pencils, and paper. We're partnered with One Tree Planted, a 501C3 non-profit based in Vermont. Local partner organizations and community volunteers plant trees in areas with deforestation.
